It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of founding SDPCA member and long time friend Hank Davenport Barberis.
Hank served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Peru from 1962 to 1964 and helped to establish the San Diego Peace Corps Association in the late 1980s along with several other RPCVs. Hank served on the board for many years and helped grow the organization. In recent years, he was an active attendee at events, including community service events, trips to the orphanage in Baja, social events, and of course, he kindly hosted the annual 4th of July party at his house in Chula Vista.
Hank will be greatly missed by all of us fortunate enough to have known him.
